Blog 5- Governance factors and educational features of coral crescent island

Hello this post is going to cover the governance factors and educational features of coral crescent island.

these are going to be the important governance factors of coral crescent island-

the laws will be:

-Equal rights to everyone
-Don't eat or touch any plants that you recognize
-Keep an eye on your fire
-Explore the island where possible
-Divide work by everyone
-Work together
-Men and women share different jobs
-Don't let children wander around after dark

the consequences will be:

-Fraud will end you in jail for 3 months
-Rape can mean a death sentence
-Stealing means you can lose a hand or go to jail
-Death penalty is legal, jail time can be as long as 30 years for certain crimes

the reason i chose these laws and consequences is because they were made to keep the people on coral crescent island safe and so the original chief who discovered the island made the laws for his people to follow.

these are the educational features of coral crescent island;

What types of education?
-Preschool/Kindergarten          3-5 years old   1year
-Primary school                      5-12 years old      8years
-High school                         12/13-17/18 years old     5years
-University/Tafe                 18/19-40+ years old                   5-6 years depending on study

How much does it cost?
- All education is free on this island because knowledge is power and information is liberating

Who gets it?
-Everyone gets to have an education on the island whether they're 4 years old or 40 years old

the reason i chose to do this structure is because i wanted to give it a modern kind of structure like modern day schooling

goodbye for now :)

  1. shep got feedback!

The inclusion of all ages is great for society!

Having a death sentence with such a low population can definitely have its cons.

Great ideas, could actually see this being real

  2. We like the detail and thought you've put into your posts, but some parts don't really make sense or match the topic of the question.
This could be improved by maybe looking a bit more towards the marking side of the booklet.

    - We like the detail and the thought put into but maybe you should think about somethings a bit more as the don't really make sense. We can see this being real but possibly a bit cruel in parts.
    - When you have said that stealing will be dealt with either losing a hand or going to jail, have you thought about how they would work without a hand? The penalty is a bit old and is kind of overboard. What would happen if someone is falsely accused of rape and they have been killed? the death penalty has it's flaws and if it isn't handled properly then the victims will suffer extremely badly. What sort of death penalty? is it humane?
    - Think a bit more about your punishments and some other things so that it is humane and not too cruel.

    - If someone loses a hand for punishment, that could have a major effect on their life, for example it'll limit the work they can do. The death penalty for rape could kill an innocent person, while the real offender walks free, what would the long term effects of killing an innocent person have on the entire island?
    - Punishments should be thought out a bit more and maybe changed so they're not so cruel.
